Reckless driving charge after DUI

The DMV only put a reckless driving charge on my record after I received a DUI. Did they mess up? A few months back I got a had a couple to many beers and was pulled over. I blew a .10 on the breathalyzer and was charged a DUI. So anyways court time came and they put me on probation gave me classes to take and I was charged with wet n reckless. I’m in the middle of my classes now and I went to get an sr22 to attain a restricted license but when the insurance company pulled my record it only came up as reckless driving. Was this a clerical mistake? And if so does it benefit me in anyway?

Insurance companies consider a DUI, DWI or Reckless Driving the same, i.e. a serious infraction which would normally cause your insurance company to cancel your insurance if your company is a standard company. Basically you will only be able to obtain insurance with a company who writes insurance for high risk drivers.

The only saving grace is that normally they cannot cancel you until it is time to renew. Good Luck.
